The goddess Pele needs a hero to battle evil gods but why an alcoholic U.S. naval commander? Meanwhile, a former Japanese spy teams with Russian agents to steal an atomic bomb. Set around a post-World War 2, 1946, famous drinking establishment, the story is a fast-paced historical fantasy featuring a transoceanic chase, a race against an explosive countdown, battles against war gods, giant snakes, and Godzilla-like Sea creatures for control over earth and the heavens. The fun is trying to figure out the future famous people who come to the Red Tiki on their way back to the mainland and see how their lives are altered. And then, ‘Their island romance was like hot lava, sometimes smooth, sometimes rough, but always dangerous and deadly.’
